PROJECT 2020
Metropolis is a digital book consisting of 4 short stories, photography, video and music of the multidisciplinary artist Manuel Giron.
A book that will not exist on paper because it is a reflection of our digital time.
The author has written a story for each of the 4 cities.
The book will be distributed exclusively on the Apple platform, and will be displayed on phone, tablet and computer screen.

City of Lights is an art video with many small and precious details about the light in the night of Paris. For those images I composed a piece of jazz, entitled "Montmartre".

マヌエル・ヒロンは旅の間ユーモアと皮肉をたっぷりこめて、不条理をめぐる物語を書きためていった。それらの物語は、大いなるユーモアのセンスをもってコンテクストから引き出され、欠かすことのできないジレンマや日々の出来事を映し出す。
そしてヒロンは自身や登場人物たちのみならず、読者までもが加わったひとつのゲームを組み立てていく。それはごく自然に、また独特、かつ非常に私的な手法で現実と虚構を混ぜ合わせ、みずからを取り囲む世界に意見していくのだ。そう、読者もページをめくるごとに、その語りの緊張感に包まれていき、最後には否が応でも巻き込まれてしまう。時としてそのゲームには誤解までもが加わり、爆笑と驚きを誘う。
また、彼は虚構と戯れると同時にしっかりと現実に足を付けて、自身の思考や疑問を示し、話の骨組みを作り上げ、わたしたちを驚嘆させる。
彼の物語は、素晴らしく心地よい衝撃と、明らかに詩的背景を帯びた様々な考えの集大成とで構築されているのだ。
